The prominent British magazine for international financial markets and institutions, Euromoney, awarded NLB Tutunska Banka AD Skopje for the best investment bank in Macedonia in 2008 on the ceremony that took place last night in Vienna – Euromoney Awards for Excellence Central & Eastern Europe. The expert team of the Euromoney magazine has rewarded NLB Group with three awards for excellence to NLB d.d. Ljubljana, NLB Montenegrobanka and NLB Tutunska banka.

 

Euromoney’s awards are recognized as independent recognitions, which have been given since 1992 to the best banks and financial institutions all over the world. The selection of the best ones is based on their business results, voting and assessment by the journalists and reporters of the Euromoney magazine.

NLB Tutunska Banka won the award for the best investment bank though its brokerage house NLB Tutunska broker, which capital is 100% in the ownership of NLB Tutunska Banka. NLB Tutunska broker was established in 1996 as an organizational unit of NLB Tutunska Banka and since 1998 it has been operating as an independent corporate entity. “NLB Tutunska broker is one of the oldest and most active members in the brokerage operations and a founder of the Macedonian Stock Exchange that has made significant contribution for the development of the capital market in Macedonia. We are pleased when our efforts and work are also recognized internationally,” said Mr. Gjorgji Jancevski, President of the Managing Board of NLB Tutunska Banka.
